Barney Litigation

Lyons Partnership, LP, the owner of Barney, the purple dinosaur, and his friends, has brought 77 lawsuits in 20 states alleging infringement of their intellectual property rights in Barney and his friends. A motion is currently pending to consolidate these lawsuits before the Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation.

Lawsuits have been brought in the Federal Courts located in the following states: California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

This firm is involved in the defense of these lawsuits, and has begun to collect the docket sheets from the lawsuits. This page is where the docket sheets are being made available to the public.
